Billy Baumann and Jason Teegarden-Downs are the rocking graphic duo behind Delicious Design League – a Chicago firm dedicated to making superstar, cream-of-the-crop gig posters for music industry names big (Animal Collective, Lykke Li, Sonic Youth) and not-quite-as-big. All the silkscreens are available for purchase on their site at uber-reasonable prices ranging between 10 and 30ish greenbacks – quite the steal for limited edition, 18″ x 24″ slickscreens erm silkscreens!

Hello, Brute’s newest addition, Pepper, by Jon Knox

A few months ago I discovered the whimsical world of Hello, Brute: a collection of hand-cast polyurethane resin toys brought to life (with a very fashion-forward and bright coat of paint) by Portland designer Jon Knox. Jon describes his creations as “an all-boy crew who are often stuck somewhere between the best and worst moments of their lives.” I totally fell in love with the character Danny, a discombobulated-looking nerd with slightly stoned doe eyes peering out from behind thick black prescription frames and decided to dig deeper… I was honored to have had the opportunity to ask Jon some questions about his design career and the newest addition to his shop: Pepper (seen above) of which 5 signed, limited-edition 9″ figures are up for grabs (for a wee sum of $175) in the Hello, Brute shop!

From a Tecktoniks dance-fest to 3D wonderlands to animations galore here is our very eclectic selection of the best music videos of the decade. Ok, so that Sony Bravia commercial was never quite the official José González Heartbeats music video, but, it certainly earned its #2 spot with such a flawless visual representation of the song. So-Me is all over this list: I just can’t get enough of those juicy graphics and the retro-electro aesthetic. Catch an appearance by M.I.A. in Buraka Som Sistema’s gritty street-dancing Sound of Kuduro video. And yes, even though I hate Kanye, I just can’t resist his Good Life video.
