Big Screen » Von Deren Films (@ Sundance)

Wow! What a lovely homepage you have…
Okay, so this is a bit of a pat on the back but, hey – I’m lucky enough to sometimes art direct projects that I really love. Case and point: my talented client and friend Susanna LoCascio’s website for her indie film company/collective: Von Deren Films (more on that here).
We’ve both been hard at work polishing up the site – there was quite a lot to do – and the result is worth bragging about! Susanna spent a good chunk of the 2008 summer in the Catskills, filming the stellar short narrative film, Floyd and the Straight Edge. With a cast of 9 and location after location, this was quite the endeavor. Yesterday we launched the full film for viewing on the site:
Part One
Part Two
Part Three
Not only is Sue busy filming stunning oeuvre, she’s also jet-setting to global hot spots like… this year’s Sundance Film Festival! Earlier today Sue sent over the first of several film reviews from the festival lineup: Son of Babylon, directed by Mohamed Al Daradji. Aaand, I just received a ping from the lady at large:
“Film starting! GTG! It’s called Holy Rollers: about Hasid ecstasy dealers. Fiction. Not doc.”
