Oh the somersaults I did when I stumbled across the My Little Pony Project website! As a kid I refused most dolls and girl-focused toys but my Pony collection was vast and fanatically well-loved (little did I know it was the first sign of my vinyl toy obsession). So when I started reading on how, for My Little Pony’s 25th birthday, they had commissioned 25 artists to each customize an 18″ horse to be auctioned off for charity I immediately started counting the quarters in the change jar.

I started poking around to find out when the auction would begin… and discovered the whole shindig had gone down last year. At which point my little heart broke. So here it is, my inner 8-year-old’s plea: if you have any further info on how to get a hold of an auctioned Pony, please, leave a note with the insider 411!! In the meantime, however, there’s no harm in checking out the amazing designs the artists came up with. Here are some of my favorites…
