Ohio 1960 State Champs Limited Edition Box Set by Homage
While scouring the interwebs in search of a perfect Yale tee for enfant terrible Adriane Quinlan, I stumbled upon Homage, an online t-shirt shop dedicated to “preserving the old school and creating new legacies”. The tee collection features stellar gym, football, and state pride tees of yore & I just couldn’t resist their selection of Ohio State tees (and how massively soft they look) and figured that, while I was on this sporty T-Shirt Tuesdays theme…
I snagged one of the limited edition 1960 Champs box sets (seen above) which, for a steal at $25, you get the tee, a B&W poster of the team, and a reprint of the sports page from the March 20, 1960 edition of The Columbus Dispatch – what a cool concept! Oh, and it gets better: a good dose of Do-Goodism comes with the purchase of the State Champs tee:
• All funds raised from the sale of the Champs tee will benefit a scholarship honoring Fred Taylor (head coach of the 1960 Championship team) for OSU students pursuing a career in coaching. Fred Taylor (1924-2002) was known as an adept recruiter, a talented coach, and a guiding presence to those who knew him.
