Vintage NFL New York Jets Tee

Although the NFL’s AFC Championship game last weekend between our beloved Jets and very worthy opponent the Colts had a bittersweet end, the game itself gave us countless more reasons to be Gang Green fans. Mark Sanchez seemed downright impervious to the pressures of the game – something no one expected from the quarterback rookie who’s first professional season was full of ups, downs, and a good dose of intercepted passes… Rex Ryan’s gee-whiz banter with the press placed him on the fast track to winning over our hearts: the nurturing father-figure shtick never got old and clearly empowered the underdog New York team.

So, with the Super Bowl two weeks away and another football season coming to an end, what better time to feature a slightly more tomboy-ish side to T-Shirt Tuesdays: vintage-inspired NFL tees! Although there are a few sites that cover the territory (Vikings fans head over to 80’s Tees) I found my favorite lineup at Retro Sport’s Amazon storefront. These super soft tees with distressed old school NFL logos just scream hungover Saturday brunch gear… Some of the juicy icons almost make you want to stray and rock, say, a Patriots tee. Pff. Just kidding. I would never.
