T-Shirt Tuesdays » Out of Print? Not Anymore!

We’ve been big fans of the Out of Print tee series ever since we first stumbled upon the site. Then, about a month ago we saw this book design gem over on Mikey Burton’s Flickr stream. Thus, when we saw that Out of Print and Mikey hooked up to make the tees above, well, it was like a fairy godmother had read our diary!

From: Tel Aviv (via Haifa) » Broken Fingaz Crew Sightings!

One of our hands-down favorite crews bombing the walls of Tel Aviv is the Haifa-based Broken Fingaz Crew. The 10-year-strong foursome (Tant, Unga, Dezo, and Kip) have a hypnotizing and intricate style which recalls 1960’s psychedelic posters, old school American comics, and B-rated horror flick poster typography…

From: Tel Aviv » Gal Shkedi Goes Green

All images by Gal Shkedi for BBDO Israel

Ever wonder what the Hoopoe (national bird of Israel) looks like in the creatively bursting brain of Tel Aviv-based illustrator/art director Gal Shkedi? Well, thanks to this uber-approachable ad campaign by BBDO Israel for the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, you now know: scruffy and chamood (cute) but a wee bit depressed-looking too — the standard chasm that exists in so many of Shkedi’s riotous characters…

Papercuts » Happy 4th!!

Well, as miffed as I still am that the NYC fireworks display somehow crept over to the Hudson river three years ago and hasn’t returned to the east side since, it still was a lovely night on our roof here in Bushwickburg…

World Cup Fever » Nike Colab Gear!

My voice is hoarse from a week and a half now of hooting and hollering at the television screen, I wish more than anything that my beloved French were still dancing the the ball across the pitch and into the net as was the norm in their heyday (I think I might be going with my Dutch roots for this round of World Cupping), and I feel a wee bit of childish glee when those vuvuzela drown out all other sounds from the South African stadiums. Yep. It’s here. I have it. The FIFA fever!!

Duck Duck Goose » Otete & Anyo

Oh Japan, you’ve done it again: perfect concept, perfect design – even the packaging is drool-worthy! Following the age-old tradition of Japanese hanko (判子) stamps (the first of these dates back to 57 AD!!!), Tokyo-based design firm Kawamura Hideo Activity / Rezon has created Otete & Anyo: a service for making custom hanko stamps of your baby’s hand- and footprints…

Fifi Lapin Tee by Doe

Doe’s Fifi Lapin Blue Pearls Tee

Fifi Lapin (that’s Fifi the Bunny in French) has a huge fan in Lo’s List (check out our previous post on the fashionable thumper here) thus, when we saw her illustrations popping up on tees around the interwebs we took it as a sign that it was high time for an update…

ShapeMaker Rubberwood Blocks by Miller Goodman

Miller Goodman’s ShapeMaker Rubberwood Blocks

There’s just something elevated about wooden toys – the lovely way they age from endless afternoons of playtime, the texture of their surface, the woodsy smell… Miller Goodman’s ShapeMaker and PlayShapes have all these qualities and a massive dose of up-to-date design sense. Business partners Zoe Miller and David Goodman started the company just two years back and soon thereafter won…

Kate Moross Isometric Tee

“Life is work and work is life. I do not even attempt to separate the two, sometimes I can’t remember whether my friends are clients or my clients are friends, it’s all blended together. My social life and my work life blend seamlessly, in fact, most of the time, I forget I am even working.” — Kate Moross

Kawaii! » J’adore Fifi Lapin!

Fifi Lapin

The uber-stylish lagomorph known as Fifi Lapin (that’s French for Fifi the Rabbit) knows all there is to know about what’s hot on the international runway circuit. The proof is in the pudding at Fifi’s very own blog and her wardrobe archive on Flickr…
